Third Death Announced from Asiana Plane Crash
There was an Asiana plane crash in San Francisco several days ago, making headlines all throughout the United States. At the time of the crash, two girls were declared dead. Now, a third victim has died at a local hospital. The Associated Press says that the girl was from China. She was in critical condition when she arrived at the San Francisco General Hospital on July 6th, and passed away on July 12th, 2013.
The teenagers that tried in the accident were headed to the United States for a crash. One victim was not only harmed in the plane crash, but crushed by a fire truck as it rushed to the scene of the accident. Investigators are trying to determine if the fire truck was the incident that caused the death of the one teen, or if the plane crash caused her to pass away prior to the truck incident.
This tragic plane accident involved a commercial airliner from Asiana Airlines, one of South Korea’s two major airline carriers. Already, passengers who were aboard the Asiana Airliner have started filing lawsuits against Boeing Co., which made the plane. One law firm that is already taking claims says that Boeing is headquartered in Chicago, and many want to hold the manufacturer responsible for the plane’s unexpected descent.
The National Transportation Safety Board says that the plane was flying too low before the accident happened. The crash happened on the San Francisco runway on July 6th. In addition to the three deaths, at least 180 passengers have reported injuries after the accident. Victims suffered from back injuries, broken legs, and brain trauma.
At least 83 have already filed suit against the airline or the airplane manufacturer. Right now, the National Transportation Safety Board is researching the pathway of the plane and learning about the pilot’s failed landing tactics.
