David E. Paulstich – Attorney

David E. Paulstich earned his Juris Doctorate from Touro Law Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2021. Prior to attending law school, David graduated from Pace University where he majored in Political Science. During his tenure in law school, David was a paralegal and law clerk with Greenberg & Stein, P.C. working alongside our trial attorneys. Since graduating from law school, David passed the February 2022 Bar Exam and now practices as a newly admitted attorney.

Mr. Paulstich has ambitious and dynamic traits and has several years of experience working alongside our Personal Injury Trial Attorneys. He is currently responsible for overseeing lawsuits in the areas of automobile accidents and premises cases. Mr. Paulstich maintains a strong commitment to all our clients to ensure that they are provided professional legal representation.

Seth M. Greenberg – Partner

Seth M. Greenberg is the President and a founding Partner of Greenberg & Stein, P.C. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and returned to New York to earn his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Greenberg worked at a small law firm and a large law firm before deciding to branch out and open his own law practice.

With a passion for obtaining justice and compensation for those who have suffered personal injury, Seth Greenberg joined forces with partner Joshua N. Stein to form the Manhattan law firm of Greenberg & Stein, P.C. in February of 1998. The law firm has grown to five attorneys and practices personal injury law exclusively.

Seth M. Greenberg was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1994. He is also a current member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Greenberg is the firm’s managing partner and is primarily responsible for its day-to-day operations.

Joshua N. Stein – Partner

Mr. Stein is Vice President and a founding member of Greenberg & Stein, P.C. Mr. Stein is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has called the New York Metropolitan Area home since 1991. Mr. Stein received his undergraduate degree in International Relations from Boston University in 1991. He graduated from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1994. Mr. Stein has been named to the highly esteemed “SuperLawyers”® List every year since 2014. He is also a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum® and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum® . He is the lead trial attorney at the firm and heads the litigation department. He has taken verdicts and settled cases in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Stein has extensive experience representing injured people in automobile accident cases, trip-and-fall accident cases, work-related accident cases, toxic tort (lead poisoning) cases, police brutality cases, nursing home abuse and cases against municipalities. Proudly, Mr. Stein obtained a $1.7 million award for a family of a 9/11 victim before the September 11th Victim’s Compensation Fund. Mr. Stein performed the work to obtain the award Pro Bono through the NYSTLA Trial Lawyers Care program.

Mr. Stein was nominated to and participated in the 2022-2023 Judicial Screening Committee for the Brooklyn Democratic Party. This committee was tasked with determining if potential candidates for election to Civil Court, Surrogates Court and Supreme Court in Brooklyn were to be rated “Qualified” or “Not Qualified at this Time” for the positions they are seeking.

Mr. Stein has lectured to members of the New York State Trial Lawyers on issues such as Discovery in Automobile Accident Cases, The Cross Examination of Biomechanical Engineers in Automobile Cases and Discovery in Municipal an Transit Authority Cases.  Mr. Stein has presented programs of EndDD (End Distracted Driving), to local high school students.  EndDD is a charity founded by a trial lawyer to help drivers learn of the dangers of driving while texting or while being distracted by other factors.

Ian Asch – Partner

Mr. Asch grew up on Long Island and earned a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Stonybrook. Mr. Asch went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate at the prestigious George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. While attending law school, Mr. Asch interned at the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Asch joined the firm in 1999. His primary responsibilities at the firm include complicated motion practice and appeals. Mr. Asch has often been recognized for his excellent writing at the Supreme Court level as well as both the 1st and 2nd Departments of the Appellate Division of the State of New York.

John K. Kouroupas is a graduate of Fordham University and Brooklyn Law School. Upon graduation from law school in 2002, Mr. Kouroupas was appointed an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York. In 2004, Mr. Kouroupas obtained a trial position for the City of New York and obtained over ten favorable jury verdicts for the City of New York. In 2006, Mr. Kouroupas became Senior Counsel for the City of New York and was appointed Assistant Supervising Attorney. In 2007, Mr. Kouroupas joined the firm of Papa, DePaola & Brounstein and handled primarily police misconduct cases along with auto, construction, and premises accidents. In 2015, Mr. Kouroupas obtained a Bronx Verdict of $1,800,000.00 against the New York City Police Department. (New York Law Journal Highest Verdicts in NY) In 2017, Mr. Kouroupas obtained a Queens verdict of $400,000.00 against the Port Authority Police Department. (New York Law Journal Highest Verdicts in 2018) Mr. Kouroupas has lectured in three Continued Legal Education Courses on Police Misconduct and Liability. In 2019, Mr. Kouroupas joined Greenberg & Stein as a senior litigator and trial attorney.
