Bronx DJ Killed on Subway After Diving for Phone

A DJ known for spinning records and keeping the party going on the Bronx was recently killed on subway by a Number 2 Subway after he jumped onto the tracks as the train approached in attempt to save his iPhone. The 22-year-old did not die from the impact, but from the electrocution of the third rail when he jumped down into the pit.

The young man allegedly went to the token booth clerk and said that he had dropped his smartphone into the put, but was told that there was nothing that they could do. When a train entered the station, the DJ managed to get in between two train cars and then jumped onto the tracks. He was first electrocuted, and then trampled when the train ruled out of the station to be serviced.

The accident happened at about 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 7th. Paramedics rushed to the scene to collect the DJ and hopefully save him from death, but were not able to do so. Family members say that the young man had dropped things into the subway track before, and had been able to successfully retrieve items with some careful maneuvering. They believe that this is why he decide to jump into the track bed, risking his life in the process.

In subway stations, there are many warnings that are set up to tell customers to steer clear of the track beds. Still, individuals die when they are crushed in the subway many times a year. Others die when they fall into the track bed and are electrocuted by the third rail. If you have suffered injury or your loved one died in a subway accident, then you may be able to seek compensation.
